Juan David-Posada is an important figure in Cuban art who made personal caricature his main mode of expression in the 20th century. His youth passed in times when most artists learned self-taught, studying wherever and however they could, rummaging through old books, leafing through magazines, contemplating reproductions of works of great masters.
