Ernesto Mateo Rancaño Vieites. He was one of the renowned figures of contemporary Cuban art, graduated in the specialty of Painting and Drawing at the National School of Art of San Alejandro, in 1991, member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and member of the International Association of Plastic Artists (AIAP). His work enjoyed great acceptance for its clear human message, deep lyricism and careful craftsmanship. Considered one of the most important artists of his generation. His vast work was extended to all types of media and disciplines.
